Cabinets of Curiosity
Create a Cabinet of Curiosity to store and show off your collected treasures.
Starting in the 16th century, cabinets of curiosity were a place where collectors would show off unusual artefacts.
You can create your own showcase and fill it with wonder and magic.
Part of the Meet your Council event taking place in Courtenay Street.

Knit & Stitch
Our sewing and knitting workshops are always popular and so in November you can dive into this again with plenty of ideas for things that you can stitch together and knit. But don’t worry if you haven’t sewn or knitted before as our expert museum volunteer will be on hand to show you the ropes.

Tudor inspired scented sachets and mulled spices
Tudor people carried purses which were a common dress accessory and often very ornate. In the days before regular bathing, body odours were masked with 'sweet bags' containing perfumed powder or dried herbs.
