Heritage Creatives - a new hands-on art workshop series for home-educated children of all ages. From clay to collage, photography to fabric, each session will explore a different creative technique and uncover inspiration in the museum's collections, displays and stories.

What happens when your toys come to life and start exploring the museum?

Bring along a posable figure, LEGO® minifigure, dinosaur or favourite toy and discover how to create your own stop-motion animation in the museum.

Could your LEGO® minifigure explore the museum displays? Could your dinosaur operate the railway signals? Maybe your characters could even create their own piece of history!

This is a parent-led session where families can practise their stop-motion animation skills together while enjoying the museum without the usual visitors around.

📱 Please bring a device (e.g. a smartphone or tablet) that can run the free Stop Motion Studio app, along with any posable figures or toys you'd like to animate.
